On the 35th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade
Today I am simply making routine checks of the links on the Nonviolent Choice Directory, to make sure they still work, and slowly but surely adding in new ones.
I, personally, do not feel moved to protest either for or against Roe today. Although the US abortion rate is falling, the question remains of just why. And it still has a long, long way to go, and it will not get there until both prolife and prochoice citizens work together at utmost speed to give women better reasons not to undergo abortions.
And millions of women globally have abortion every year. It doesn't help them or their children that the "either/or, woman v fetus" terms of the Roe v Wade decision are being rapidly globalized.
