Now That's News: Respectful Dialogue on Abortion & Its Reduction
Want to hear a thoughtful, respectful conversation about abortion among prochoice and prolife Friends (Quakers)?
The host of the "Spirit in Action" program on Northern Spirit Radio, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, presents one with Stan Becker, a prochoice specialist in population and public health, and peace psychologist Rachel MacNair, coeditor of ProLife Feminism Yesterday and Today, the book behind the Nonviolent Choice Directory.
To hear such a thing, you can download the mp3 file of Toward Taking Away the Occasion of Abortion.
This episode of the "Spirit in Action" program is named after an excellent pamphlet from Quaker Earthcare.
My impression is that the men dominated the conversation, as men tend to do, often without realizing it consciously. But they were trying to include Rachel's voice and listen, and that's a move out of intergender and prochoice/prolife dynamics as usual.
